KINGS BARTON SHOWHOMES LAUNCH – A BIG SUCCESS

Househunters flocked to see TV presenter and property expert Amanda Lamb officially open the eagerly awaited show village at CALA Homes’ Kings Barton development in Winchester recently.

Fiona Light (New Homes Director for Charters) said: “it was truly wonderful to see so many local people turn out to finally grasp the quality offerings by CALA Homes at the long awaited Kings Barton scheme. The showhomes themselves give just a taste of things to come and we are pleased to report many early reservations.”

More than 200 people attended the recent launch event to chat with Amanda and our Charters team whilst taking a look around the three new professionally designed showhomes. Visitors were treated to gourmet canapes from Winchester based Forte Kitchen, while cocktail mixologists Bring & Mix created some bespoke cocktails for everyone to enjoy. Mrs G’s vintage tea van served up delicious cakes and hot drinks and potential purchasers were also able to get advice on how to style their new home from local interior designer Jane McIntyre.

CALA opened three stunning new showhomes at Kings Barton
The Catherine, The Chesil & The Avington

The Chesil and The Catherine are both three bedroom semi-detached homes which offer flexible living space for young families, downsizers and professionals. Each have open plan kitchen/ dining areas, separate sitting rooms and master bedrooms with en suites and fitted wardrobes. The five bedroom Avington offers spacious family accommodation spread over three floors. The second bedroom has a large walk on balcony and the top floor is given over to the master bedroom with en suite, fitted wardrobes and Juliette balcony. There is also a separate study which could be used as a dressing room, hobby room or playroom.

Kings Barton is a landmark development for CALA, creating a 21st Century suburb of Winchester, a place which draws on the best qualities of the city but still has its own character. The range of homes here are ideal for professionals, downsizers and families looking for a contemporary, spacious home; with easy access to the city and the surrounding open countryside. We’ve already experienced high levels of demand with 16 homes sold off-plan and now with the opening of three new showhomes, we would encourage anyone interested to come and see us soon to avoid missing out on the right home and the right deal.

The homes currently available at Kings Barton include a mix of two, three and five bedroom homes with prices ranging from £385,000 to £710,000.

Kings Barton will be an aspirational new suburb of Winchester, creating new homes around a bustling neighbourhood centre offering a range of facilities including shops, a pub, café, community building and healthcare provision. There will also be a new primary school and private nursery, 30 hectares of formal and informal public open space and a Park and Ride scheme. Located on the northern edge of Winchester, it connects to neighbouring communities to create an impressive new gateway to the city.

Winchester’s characterful city delights are immediately surrounded by the rustic beauty of the chalk downs, giving you the best of cosmopolitan and country life. The city boasts an abundance of top brand shops, upmarket boutiques, inviting cafes and sophisticated restaurants.

Shrouded in a wealth of architectural heritage, the many historic buildings, monuments and museums of Hampshire’s thriving capital are all within short walking distance of each other. From the imposing Norman cathedral and The Great Hall of Winchester Castle to the elegantly restored Edwardian Theatre Royal Winchester and 14th Century High Street.
