Travel

Winchester is in an ideal position. It’s just a short drive from the coast and is the gateway to many major cities including Southampton, Portsmouth and Bournemouth to the south as well as Basingstoke, Reading and London to the north. 

Transport

Winchester Station provides fast services to London Waterloo (approx 55 mins) in addition to destinations throughout the UK.

  • The city also has an excellent bus network throughout its district.
  • There is a main coach station which caters for travelling further afield.
  • Southampton International Airport is just a short journey by road or rail providing both domestic and a growing number of international flights.
  • The continent can also be easily reached by ferry with the nearest ports at Southampton and Portsmouth.
